Legend

1.      Ranking

Search results are ranked by relevance, but can be changed to date order.

2.      Preview

Hover the mouse over the title or click the magnifying glass to see a preview of the item.  This feature is particularly useful for journal articles as it allows you to read the abstract before going any further.

3.      Save

Click the folder to add results to your Saved Items list.

4.      Saved Items list

Click Saved items to see your list.  You can print, email, or export these results to bibliographic management software such as RefWorks. This is a temporary folder that will be cleared when you leave Summon, so make sure you save or email any results you want to keep.

5.      Print or RSS

You can print the results list or save a search to your RSS feed reader to receive regular updates on new items that match your search terms.  To add a search to your reader, right click on the RSS icon, copy the link location and add it to your RSS reader.

6.      Availability

For journal articles and e-books, look for the full text icon (click the icon or the title to link to the full text).  For print books and other physical items, look for the Availability link to the Library Catalogue.
