Overview of Literary Criticism/Critiques

The terms literary criticism and literary critiques refer to analysis of literature (not the disparaging of it, as the terms may first lead you to think!).  So whether you are comparing themes or characters within a particular work (whether it's poetry, prose, drama, or some other genre of literature), or among several works, you are engaging in literary criticism or critiques of the literature.

The tools to help you locate literary criticism/critiques on the work(s) you are studying are divided in the sidebar into the following categories:

  • Literary Criticism in Hackney Library Books
  • Online Literary Criticism

Click on the links to these in the sidebar to access these literary critiques.
