This page on the Chicago Manual of Style Online site gives an explanation of and links to examples for the two different versions of Chicago style used by different disciplines: 1) Notes and Bibliography Style, which features footnotes or endnotes with raised (superscript) numbers in the text corresponding to each citation in the note--often used by humanities disciplines; 2) Author-Date style, which uses a source's author and date in parentheses in the text of the paper that refers to the longer citation in a separate bibliography (this version is more similar to APA and MLA)--and is more commonly used in the sciences/social sciences.
