Comparative Drama is a scholarly journal devoted to studies international in spirit and interdisciplinary in scope. Founded over forty-five years ago by English professors at Western Michigan University, the journal has earned recognition from the academic community worldwide and continues to maintain the standard of excellence set by its founders. In keeping with our philosophy of interdisciplinarity, internationality, and inclusiveness, we publish a range of scholarly perspectives on drama from the ancient past to the postmodern present, from traditional to experimental, written by established as well as emerging scholars. Our aims are to generate provocative and innovative views of an existing corpus, to provide a forum for the discussion of dramatic works previously marginalized or omitted from the literary canon, and to encourage the use of archival materials.

Dance Research: The Journal of the Society for Dance Research is essential reading for those involved in the study and practice of dance. Dance Research is edited and published in Britain with the assistance of a distinguished group of editorial consultants based in Europe and the USA. The journal provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of contemporary dance research and contains a section of comprehensive book and journal reviews.

Early Theatre is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to medieval and early modern drama and theatre history, with a particular focus on records pertaining to actors, theatres, music, dance, and entertainments of all kinds. Our main emphasis is performance history, primarily in England, but we also feature interpretive articles, and we publish scholarship on subjects relating to early English drama as it impinges on or is influenced by other international practices. We publish full-length articles, shorter notes, review essays, and book reviews. Each year we also feature an Issues in Review forum on a current 'hot' topic related to new directions in performance history and theory. Early Theatre also publishes occasional special volumes with sustained attention to particular topics. In recognition of the excellence of our contributors, we issue biennial prizes in three categories.

JFA, published since 1988, is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the study of the fantastic in Literature, Art, Drama, Film, and Popular Media. It is published three times a year by the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts out of offices of the Department of English and Philosophy at Idaho State University. Like the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts, from which it was generated, the journal welcomes papers on all aspects of the fantastic in English, American, French, Spanish, German, and other national literatures, as well as interdisciplinary approaches including music, philosophy, sociology, psychology, political science, and religion. All papers are in English. Articles are fully refereed and are indexed in the MLA Bibliography.

For over five decades, Theatre Journal's broad array of scholarly articles and reviews has earned it an international reputation as one of the most authoritative and useful publications of theatre studies available today. Drawing contributions from noted practitioners and scholars, Theatre Journal features social and historical studies, production reviews, and theoretical inquiries that analyze dramatic texts and production. Recent special issues include "Re-Thinking the Real," "Ancient Theatre," "Dance," and "Theatre and Activism." Theatre Journal is published in cooperation with the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE).
