The American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM) of the American Podiatric Medical Association is a non-profit organization that was founded in San Francisco in 1970 by a group of podiatric sports physicians who had the insight to realize the need for a podiatric sports medicine association devoted to the treatment of athletic injuries.

ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world. With more than 50,000 members and certified professionals worldwide, ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine.

ACE focuses on developing and distributing credible resources, training and education, preparing students for certification, and providing workout ideas and schedules.
